However, reality turned out to be a bit different. I looked at the sample I received, at the website, and at my reflection in the mirror, asking myself, "Is this really happening? Am I not dreaming?" Let's start with the basic information I found online. Papersowl is a Bulgarian brand established over eight years ago. RATATATA LTD owns it and has its headquarters in Sofia, Bulgaria. This already contradicts the brand's positioning as a purely American service. But let’s leave that fact on Papersowl’s conscience. The company claims to provide top-tier services in the field of academic papers.

That’s why I ordered a basic college-level admission essay and contacted Papersowl. Here are the instructions. There’s another point I want to highlight in this Papersowl review. The company went overboard with the number of tabs, options, settings, and pop-up messages. I felt like I’d entered a world of spam creatures where every tab hides a virus or a link to an adult site. Papersowl, are you kidding me?

Why did you create so many tabs filled with tons of information? Maybe the programmers and designers needed to show they were earning their high hourly rates for a reason. Otherwise, I don't understand why Papersowl took this route. Why couldn’t Papersowl follow the rule of simplicity? I don't have an answer to that question.

My user experience

All in all, I had a really bad experience using PapersOwl. Most website pages were cluttered and confusing, making it difficult to find the desired information. In identifying key information, the structure was far from clear; information on the services it offered and the prices it charged were, however, hard to find. The ordering process was also inconvenient, as some points below showed. It was too lengthy and time-consuming, and it involved more steps than any standard could consider reasonable.

One aspect that angered me quite often was the constant extra papers being pushed to my face even after purchasing from the site. The PapersOwl payment procedure was a nightmare. The PapersOwl checkout window once got stuck only when I was about to check out and make payment for the items I had ordered, thereby taking a long time to process the payment. Nonetheless, I soon faced another PapersOwl problem, which I will describe in detail in this essay. After placing the PapersOwl order, I had to wait 30 more minutes to receive a response from the support team.

This fact made me concerned about whether my order had been processed. It was disappointing to feel that no concern was shown towards the customers. In general, I can state that my experience with PapersOwl was rather disappointing. Papersowl Review: Paper Quality

I ordered an admission essay about my personal growth and future goals. I included a few stories that portrayed me as a determined individual. In two examples, I demonstrated how initial failures turned into victories. I also gave Papersowl clear instructions on presenting myself as someone who sees discipline as a form of freedom. I know routine can be boring, but I do what I hate as if I love it. This is how I overcome obstacles and achieve my goals, no matter what.

Besides the main points, I sent a detailed file with technical instructions. Well, it turns out that Papersowl doesn’t know how to read. This owl turned out to be deaf and blind. The writer ignored my life examples, instead describing me as "quite determined when needed." Seriously, Papersowl? I sent you three pages of text, and that’s all you took from my approach to achieving goals and academic motivation. Yes, it’s not Speedypaper.com or other trusted brands.

I don't know why, but Papersowl hires strange academic experts. My writer started the essay very weakly. I know that the first few sentences are the strongest triggers, and college admission officers don’t read all the paragraphs. Why couldn’t they avoid vague and overly broad sentences? Papersowl also sent me a sample with a terrible conclusion that even introduced new topics for discussion. Hey, Papersowl! This is the end of the essay; you’re not supposed to add anything new here! In other words, this was a fiasco for Papersowl!

I think PapersOwl could have done a better job with my paper. Such terrible quality of work may lead to PapersOwl losing all of its clients shortly. I don't understand why it is so difficult to implement a system of editors who would check what PapersOwl experts write. I know that sometimes even good writers have difficulty creating a polished draft. In the case of PapersOwl, having editors is a must.

Even express editing could have fixed about 30% of all the problems I found in the PapersOwl text. Guys, why are you so greedy? Hire three editors. This is not such a huge waste for your company. PapersOwl has to do something. Otherwise, it will remain an outsider forever. If I were a student, I would never order a second paper. PapersOwl, you have to change!

As I mentioned earlier, the company’s pricing policy is rather odd. First of all, Papersowl only shows you the price right before you make the payment. This is inconvenient and forces newcomers to spend much time navigating the site. That’s why Papersowl still has a lot to learn. I spent half a day fiddling with their order form. In the end, here’s what Papersowl charges for their services.

PapersOwl has relatively high prices compared to the leading companies, which is not very attractive to students looking for cheap academic writing services. Writing from scratch is available at $12. $30 and $50 per page is much higher than in other companies and increases for more detailed works. PapersOwl editing and proofreading services cost $8-$30 per page, so even minor changes are expensive. Problem-solving help costs $20 per problem solved, while grading and marking costs $8 to $40 per page and can become expensive if many pages require such a service.

Other PapersOwl services, including paraphrasing and rewriting services, also fall in the range of $8 to $30 per page, even though such services are less complex than writing from scratch. Standard tasks begin at $1 and include answering multiple-choice questions or any question that requires a short answer of up to 55 words. 30 each, which is exorbitant, bearing in mind that the work involved is almost negligible.

On the other hand, the best firms have better price policies and discounts, especially for regular and bulk buyers. These competitors offer better value for money and more available offers, including prices that vary with the level of urgency and the academic level that PapersOwl does not have. Therefore, the students may find better alternatives to address their academic requirements. I wouldn't call Papersowl the cheapest company in the world. These are average market prices for a rather ambiguous job, but I won't get ahead. 

As you can see, Papersowl is far from being a market leader. I also don’t understand why I must pay an additional 15% of the writer's final fee just to get an early draft. The auto-assign feature for the "best" writer on Papersowl costs ten dollars! Come on, guys, I know you're just randomly assigning a writer without spending any extra effort on it. Choosing a "top" PapersOwl expert will cost you 20% more, which doesn’t add any positivity for me. And by the way, Papersowl will charge you $12 for a detailed outline. Bon appétit, folks!

Discount offers

Newcomers also receive an optional 5% discount on PapersOwl, but this is not as simple as it seems. While most competitors offer first-time discounts when the client gets to the payment page, PapersOwl only offers it if the buyer asks. This can irritate students as they anticipate an easier and less complicated approach to finding their study materials. Besides, after applying the first discount for the first time, it becomes difficult to look for other authentic codes for subsequent orders. PapersOwl does not send coupons to customers so often and has no persistent sale offers on its Website.

In the case of the regular customers, it is even more disappointing. It is extremely difficult to find any working codes for returning customers, and the company itself does not offer repeated customer discounts or schemes to save big in the long run. From time to time, PapersOwl may use email to offer a discount, but these are not very common and are usually not very high, ranging from 5 to 7 percent. Compared to other writing services that offer more clients bonuses and special offers for frequent ordering, this is a disadvantage of PapersOwl.

So, is PapersOwl legit? Yes, but this fact is unlikely to please you. Besides, it is necessary to note that the lack of discounts and the strict restrictions regarding the few available PapersOwl discount codes make the company’s services not very helpful in financial savings for students, especially those who may need it frequently. As no incentives are provided for the consumers to engage in the services offered by the company, they will look for other services that offer better and more reasonable prices for their loyalty.

Now, I plan to discuss how to order papers on this site. Papersowl loves to complicate things, but I’ll try to simplify the details for you. Click the "Place an Order" button on the homepage. Next, you should choose the type of your order. This could be anything from writing from scratch, editing your draft, or a technical task like lab work or math problems.

The next step on Papersowl is selecting the type of your paper and the subject. The company doesn’t ask for your academic level. Instead, they calculate the order’s cost based on the type and make a profit from expensive paper extras. This is not very convenient for me, as I want to know the price upfront and be sure that the academic expert understands my needs.

The following step involves adding instructions, formatting styles, and other details. As usual, Papersowl has made this process quite inconvenient. You can also choose top-tier academic experts for an extra fee.

I suggest the basic ones since paying ten dollars or more for a so-called Papersowl expert makes no sense. I’ll explain why later. Papersowl will also offer you the option to activate paper extras and proceed with payment. After that, there’s a brief briefing, and the writer will start working. Well, Papersowl, I’ve explained all the steps more concisely than you did in your order form!

Papersowl review: online reputation

This section of my Papersowl review will be the most painful, as I’ve found many negative aspects. It seems I’m not the only one frustrated with Papersowl. Many Sitejabber, Trustpilot, and Reddit users have left negative feedback about Papersowl. Many people complain about the overly complicated order process and experts ignoring parts of the instructions. Moreover, the writers at Papersowl fail to understand and ignore some instructions. It's like, "Okay, this looks weird, so I won’t write it at all." Seriously, Papersowl?

Some people have even complained that money was deducted from their accounts but never received their papers. I'm unsure if there were issues on the client's end, as Papersowl allegedly tried to contact them. However, these kinds of trends are very concerning to me. Overall, there are quite a few Papersowl reviews highlighting the carelessness of the writers, their slow pace, and their need for clarification on even the simplest points. Folks, if I wanted to play the role of a nanny, I would look for an actual paid job. You’re getting paid for this, so please be attentive.

This is why they make rather questionable decisions about raising prices or minimizing discounts.

I am not surprised that Papersowl has a bad online reputation. If I were a student, I would spend a lot of time writing comments on all the review aggregators and making sure everyone sees my negative experience. Why provide academic services if they are not worth it? I am extremely disappointed and do not want to discuss it anymore. The company will soon become nothing more than a memory.

Plagiarism claims

While reading reviews online, I realized that Papersowl has a lot of haters. People accuse the company of stealing many sentences and even paragraphs from free samples available on the internet. I guess I was lucky, as I received an original paper. Sure, it was far from a masterpiece, but the plagiarism level was only 10%. That’s insufficient to accuse the company of poor quality in the final product.

I believe this company does try to write something, although the final quality is terrible. Let’s put it this way: it’s a terrible but original result. I’m not sure if this is the reputation Papersowl wanted, but that’s life. Papersowl! You can turn things around and write better! If people tell you not to copy stuff from the internet, you shouldn’t do it.

I’d advise Papersowl not to try to impress newcomers filling out the order form with their so-called expertise. There’s no point in that, as the final result looks like a sandcastle washed away by a bucket of water. Papersowl stubbornly follows the path of a typical academic company. If Papersowl did things like top brands do, it wouldn’t face these issues. It’s better to prove your expertise through practice than plagiarizing works and hastily sending chaotic paragraphs instead of a well-crafted essay.

However, I can't deny the dozens of negative reviews I've seen online. The company has problems with plagiarism, even if it's not a common situation. I would like to see fewer such problems in all companies. At the same time, I realize that I can't do much, especially if no one monitors quality control in the company.

Customer support & guarantees

I suggest you brace yourself, as it will be quite challenging to reach the actual Papersowl experts. First, you need to ask a chatbot basic questions. There are only four of them, each with several follow-up questions. The Papersowl team has poorly implemented the switch to real support agents.

It’s a fully automated process, so good luck waiting for Papersowl to finish playing around and connect you with someone real. The real support agents respond slowly, and I suspect they are outsourced from India or Pakistan. No offense, guys, but you have a unique communication style and corresponding grammar! By the way, the company's guarantees are rather vague and only partially describe the process of revisions and returns.

Loyalty program

PapersOwl doesn’t have a bonus program for frequent customers, which means regular buyers do not have a way to get discounts on their regular purchases. However, they encourage consumers to use their referral program as the way to go. From their PapersOwl Referral Program Rules adopted on November 15, 2022, existing users can invite new users to the site using the referral link. Once the invited person registers and makes a first PapersOwl order, the referrer gets 10% of the order made by the Referee to his or her account balance.

However, this reward can only be used for new PapersOwl orders on the site and cannot be withdrawn or redeemed for cash, which is the reward's drawback.  The PapersOwl rules state that the first order has to be paid, and the referrer cannot use the bonus amount in the Referee’s account to get the reward. There are also anti-fraud rules in the referral program. For example, creating fake PapersOwl accounts, sharing accounts, and sending numerous invitations are prohibited.

So, is PapersOwl legit? The consequences include suspension or deletion of the user’s PapersOwl account. In other words, although the referral PapersOwl program has its advantages, it does not make up for the absence of a loyalty program for loyal customers. This can be inconvenient for PapersOwl users who wish to save more or get additional benefits for choosing PapersOwl’s services more often. If I were you, I would find an alternative.
